1. The CSR Centre in partnership with Foreign Trade Association organized three “FTA Roundtables” on Capacity Building for RMG sector, FTA Roundtable on Child Labour & FTA Roundtable on Women Empowerment at Hotel Six Seasons, Dhaka on October 17, 18 & 19, 2016.

2.  The CSR Centre in collaboration with International Finance Corporation (IFC) & Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) had organized for the first time in Bangladesh the event “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” to celebrate the International Women's Day at Dhaka Stock Exchange office premises on March 8, 2016.

3. The CSR Centre in partnership with Aga Khan Foundation Bangladesh organized a National Seminar on “Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Early Childhood Development (ECD) Research in Bangladesh” on December 22, 2015 at Hotel Six Seasons, Gulshan-2, Dhaka to disseminate the findings from the research on “Current Private Sector Engagement for Child Related CSR in the Garment Sector in Dhaka”.

4. CSR Centre organized a Multi-stakeholder forum on “Safe Workplaces through Gender Equality & Anti-Sexual Harassment in Bangladesh's RMG Factories- “Shomotha" at Lakeshore Hotel, Dhaka on May 7, 2015.

5. CSR Centre in partnership with twentyfifty launched a Project titled “Shomotha-Safe Workplace through Gender Equality and Anti-Sexual Harassment in Bangladeshi RMG factories” at Palm View Restaurant, Army Golf Club, Dhaka on May 6, 2015. The objective of the project is to promote safe workplaces through gender equality.

6. CSR Centre launched Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) & Women In Need (WIN) Directory. The Programme was held at Lakeshore Hotel, Dhaka, on January 14, 2015. The Objective of this programme was to empower women in the workplace, marketplace and community.

 

7. CSR Report 2014 Launch: Launching Ceremony of CSR Centre Report on “CSR IN BANGLADESH 2014 -SUSTAINABILITY FOR A BETTER FUTURE” held on Sunday, May 11, 2014, Time: 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.; at Portofino Room , Hotel Westin, Main Gulshan Avenue, Dhaka – 1212. Dr. Atiur Rahman, Governor, Bangladesh Bank has kindly consented as Chief Guest. Ambassadors of the Nordic Countries like Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Netherland were present, as well as the European Union Ambassador to Bangladesh. Many Distinguished guest from different multinational and National organizations were also present there.(more)

8. Training on Sustainability Reporting: CSR Centre conducted a two days training on Sustainability Reporting as per GRI G4 guidelines on May 6 & &, 2014 at Hotel Rign Inn Gulshan 1, Dhaka. There were 18 participants from different stakeholders like Banks, Financial Institutions, Companies, Telecom Corporate etc. The Trainer was Dr. Aditi Halder, GRI Focal Point India and South Asia.

9. Poverty Fair: Eradicate Extreme Poverty Day 2014: CSR Centre participated for second time to a day long fair on Eradicate Extreme Poverty Day 2014 organized by Shiree, World Food Programme (WFP) and Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), UKAid, Swedish SIDA on Saturday May 31, 2014 at Bansundhara Convention Centre-2, Block C, Umme Kulsum Road, Basundhara R/A, Baridhara, Dhaka 1229, Bangladesh. And the Team achieved Best Stall Award among more than 100 participants from the organizers and praised by international participants as well national level participants and visitors. (more)

10. The CSR Centre as the Global Compact Network Bangladesh Focal Point and Secretariat organized for the first time in Bangladesh the “Asia/Oceania United Nations Global Compact Local Network Regional Meeting 2014” held on December 10, 2014 at the La Vita Hall, Lakeshore Hotel, Gulshan 2, Dhaka. 11.The CSR Centre as theGlobal Compact Network Bangladesh Focal Point organized for the first time in Bangladesh Meeting of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) Local Network Exchange Program 2014which held on 7-9 December 2014 at the Mutual Trust Bank Training Institute, Tejgaon, Dhaka.  (more)

12.In a grand ceremony that took place in Gulshan Lake Shore Hotel’s La Vita Hall on January 14, 2015 the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) initiative Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) was launched in Bangladesh. (more)

13.The CSR Centre has launched its Annual CSR Report titled “REPORT ON CSR IN BANGLADESH 2015: Transforming into a Value Driven Society” on September 03(Thursday), 2015 at Hotel Westin, Gulshan Avenue, Dhaka.  (more)
